William Zamora Ramírez
Professor and Researcher, University of Costa Rica.
Ph.D. in Molecular Biotechnology, M.Sc. in Chemistry, and B.Sc. in Chemistry. He is currently a Professor at the University of Costa Rica, the National University of Costa Rica, and an Associate Researcher at the CNCA within CeNAT. He leads multidisciplinary research at the intersection of chemistry, biology, and artificial intelligence, and directs the Computational Biology and Chemistry Laboratory (CBio3) at the School of Chemistry, as well as the Computational Toxicology and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (LaToxCIA) at the Biological Testing Laboratory.
His work focuses on early-stage drug discovery and development, with an emphasis on predicting physicochemical properties and virtual screening, new antimicrobial agents, environmental chemistry and computational ecotoxicology, and alternative methods to animal testing.
