Mahuina Campos Castolo

Full-Time Professor
Department of Digital Health, Faculty of Medicine, UNAM

Surgeon from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics, with a Master’s degree in Educational Research.

She is currently a full-time professor in the Department of Digital Health at the Faculty of Medicine of the same university, where she leads the Digital Health Research Group.

She has participated as a speaker in various conferences and has over 50 publications in specialized journals on these topics. She has created or contributed to the development of 2 medical artificial intelligence algorithms and more than 20 software systems and mobile applications to support clinical decision-making, with clinical-administrative and educational functions.

Her academic work focuses on Digital Health, Artificial Intelligence, Telemedicine, and topics related to Gynecology and Obstetrics.

In line with the objectives of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance and the the BELLA II project led by RedCLARA, TICAL provides a forum for strategic dialogue and exchange of experiences among the NRENs members of RedCLARA on strengthening regional science, technology, and innovation; promotes the identification of common challenges and opportunities of digital transformation for the economic and social development of Latin America and the Caribbean, and seeks to identify the cornerstones for building a common development agenda based on digital.
