Economist from Universidad Externado de Colombia, with a Master’s in Economic Development from the University of Manchester, and a Master’s and PhD in Sociology from the Université catholique de Louvain.

He is currently the National Director of the Escuela Superior de Administración Pública (ESAP) and has extensive experience in university teaching and research in development economics and public policies related to children and youth.

In his most recent academic and administrative experience, he has held several positions at the National University of Colombia, including General Vice-Rector, Director of the National Planning Office, and Dean of the Faculty of Economic Sciences. He has also served as Director of the Research Center for Development (CID), Academic Vice-Dean, and Coordinator of the PhD Program in Economic Sciences at the same faculty.
