Andrés Casas

Partner, BRAKK (Costa Rica)

Cybersecurity professional with multiple certifications (CISM, CDPSE, ISO 27032, COBIT 2019 Foundation, and ITIL® 4 Managing Professional Certificate).

He has extensive experience in strategic leadership and is Co-founder of BRAKK, where he develops cybersecurity services and solutions, leads market strategies, and builds specialized teams.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the CyberSec Cluster, contributing to the creation of a regional cyber defense ecosystem. He is also President of the ISC2 Costa Rica Chapter, promoting professional development through webinars and CISSP/CC study groups, and revitalizing the community after pandemic-related challenges.

As a Partner at Deloitte, he led the Risk practice and established the Cybersecurity unit in Central America, expanding teams, transforming a bank’s security, and directing Red Team operations that identified critical vulnerabilities, significantly reducing risk exposure.

In line with the objectives of the EU-LAC Digital Alliance and the the BELLA II project led by RedCLARA, TICAL provides a forum for strategic dialogue and exchange of experiences among the NRENs members of RedCLARA on strengthening regional science, technology, and innovation; promotes the identification of common challenges and opportunities of digital transformation for the economic and social development of Latin America and the Caribbean, and seeks to identify the cornerstones for building a common development agenda based on digital.
